JEE Main 2025 To Be Conducted in Two Sessions

The JEE (Main) 2025 Session 1 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) is slated from January 22 to January 31, 2024, while Session 2 is provisionally set for April 1 to April 8, 2025. The examination is organized into two sessions to prevent any conflict with the board exams, which may occur at varying times among states and union territories. Paper 2A and Paper 2B (BArch and BPlanning) will be conducted biannually in January and April 2025.

A candidate may submit an application for the Session-1 (January 2025) examination and remit the corresponding examination fee. The applicants will have the chance to apply for Session-2 (April 2025) separately, using the same application number, along with the fee payment; a new notice will be provided for this purpose.

A candidate intending to apply for Session 2 (April 2025) may log in and remit the examination fee for Session 2 within the designated time. If a candidate intends to apply just for Session-2 (April 2025), they may register at a later time when the application form for Session-2 (April 2025) becomes available.

Candidates who have completed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, or are scheduled to appear in 2025, regardless of age, are eligible to take the JEE (Main) – 2025 examination. Applicants must meet the age requirements of the institute(s) to which they seek admission.

Candidates who completed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2022 or before are unable to participate in JEE (Main) – 2025.

The applicant must meet the state eligibility requirements prior to applying for the examination. The state code of eligibility refers to the code of the state in which the applicant completed the class 12 (or similar) qualifying examination. The state code of eligibility is independent of the candidate’s native location or domicile. If a candidate takes the class 12 (or similar) qualifying examination from an institution in Delhi while residing in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the applicant’s state code of eligibility will be Delhi, not Uttar Pradesh.
