UPSC Released Calendar UPSC Prelims 2021 / EPFO Exam Date/CSE/IAS
The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a national competitive examination conducted in India by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to the Government of India’s higher civil services, which include the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service, and the Indian Police Service. Also known as the UPSC examination, it is divided into three phases: a preliminary examination consisting of two objective-type papers (General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper-II, also known as the Civil Service Aptitude Test or CSAT), and a main examination consisting of nine conventional (essay) type papers, two of which are qualifying and only marks of seven personality test (interview). During the whole procedure, a successful applicant sits for 32 hours of examination.
